I have never been charged with one but can someone please explain to me what exactly is a white collar crime? I keep on seeing white collar crime on the news and have no idea if this means a dui type of crime or not. I live in the USA

A white collar crime has always been known as a crime that was committed by someone that is of the upper class status. These crimes are typically done at a financial level meaning money laundering etc. These are typically non violent crimes.
