I won’t wast too much of your time.I live in a small town in n.c. My father died in 1998, and I promised him on his death bed that I would take care of my mother.She has never had a driver license and always has had bad nerves.So not long after I moved back in with my mother I became disabled and have been on disibility ever since, so I am going to skip ahead to the present day.
I usually get a paper that our small town publishes every week, so in this one paper I noticed that there was a small picture (on the front page ) of our back yard and the message with it said something to the effect that the town hears junk complaint, it went on to say that (—–) is tired of living next to a junkyard and so (—-)erected a fence (on the property line!)but (—-)said that still did not help or mask the smell coming from our property.And further states that this has been going on for ten years.
When I read this I became so stressed out.I did not dare tell my mother about it, because she would have probably had a stroke or heart attack . I had my brother to come get my mother untill I could figure out just what our neighbor was trying to do.
I know we don’t keep our yard (just perfect) but for (—-) to publically humilate us in the paper and (—-)even went so far as to have been going before the town board for years and we never knew anything about it.
We are pretty poor, and we are not able to keep our yard perfect,but we do the best we can, as for (—-)saying we smell that just adds insult to injury.
There are other neighbors all around us and not one of them has ever said anything bad about us.
It was told to me by the law in our town that this person has been trying to do something about us for at least ten years, also this person knows all the town board members and is trying to pass ordaninces against us(this is also in our paper).
I have never had words with this person, I have never done anything against them,so I really don’t even know why this is happening?
I just need to know if there is anything that can be done about this just to keep this person and the town and the towns lawyer from harassing me and my family, and publically humiliting us and having the town board driving by our house and basically be-littling us before the town and towns people and everyone that reads the paper.
If there is a lawyer or group of lawyers out there that can help please let me know.
I have kept all the articles from all the papers as to have proof of all this.The articles are more de-meaning than I have written here.
