My daughter went to a “party” and drank alot of liquor. As a result, she was in a coma and has had 2 surgeries. The doctors and police thought she was gonna die so there was a whole homicide investigation. There was an adult there that claimed he was sleeping at the time. Do i have a negligence case? This happened in the state of florida

First, I am sorry about the injuries your daughter received from drinking. As far as negligence, i would definitely contact an attorney in Florida that specializes in this sort of case. Before you call this lawyer, make sure that you have all the relevant information close by and easy to communicate. He or she will know pretty quickly if you have a case against this adult. The lawyer will probably ask:
1. Who bought the alcohol?
2. Was the adult aware of alcohol on the premises?
3. Did the adult buy the alcohol?
4. How much emotional and monetary hardship did you, your daughter and your family endure
5. Was the party at someone’s house? who are the homeowners?
Good luck.
