I was at a party last night that got busted. Most of the people at the party were underage. The arresting officers took down the names of everyone that was underage and drinking and said they would be in contact with us and our parents.
I have yet to hear from anyone and haven’t told my parents. Is there a law in Virginia that says they can’t contact my parents over a certain period of time? Is it possible that they won’t contact my parents at all? My parents don’t know I drink and I want to keep it that way. I also don’t want to get a criminal record.

First of all you shouldn’t be drinking as a minor! Its unhealthy and illegal. There are several different scenarios none of which can be predicted. There is always that chance that the police will contact your parents about your drinking escapade. If they decide to prosecute the person who owns the house for allowing minors to drink than the chances will increase. There is also the chance that they will send you a letter to appear in court for underage drinking. You may also get lucky and they may decide not to take you to court or contact your parents. In any event, its a waiting game at this point.
