I was traveling in the Carolina’s and I was pulled over by a state trooper. They gave me a ticket for 89 MPH and told me that I have to show up in court and couldn’t pay the ticket off. What is this all about do I really have to show up in court? I can’t do this because I live no where even in the near distance of N.C. This would mean I would have to catch a flight etc. This is crazy please help.

I would fight it if you can. You don’t want that on your driving record. You auto insurance might go up. Fight the Man!

North Carolina & South Carolina has a law in place if you go over a certain speed and get a ticket you will have to show up in court and you can’t pay the speeding ticket through mail etc. What you can do though is have an attorney within the area show up the court on your behalf. They will plead guilty on your behalf. This is the only way around it. You don’t have to show up to court if you do it that way but you do have to plead guilty of the charge.
