My son recently used his college card at a restaurant. He left cash tip on table and paid bill with his college card. They charged a $4 tip, which made him overdrawn before my deposit had gone through. Snowball effect caused another NSF charge.

What is the Texas Law regarding this situation, and are they liable for overdraft/NSF charges?

How much is the overdraft charge on the credit card? I would bring the credit card bill and the restaurant receipt back to the restaurant and ask to speak to the manager. The establishment overcharged your son.
