I am 14 and recently I bought an iPod touch with my own money and my parents permission. About 2 weeks later I had it in my room while I was taking a shower and my mom came in and took the ipod and all its contents and returned it to the store. She then gave me my money back. I was furious and now she won’t let me buy a new one. Is this legal for her to do? I was not doing anything illegal or immoral on the ipod but she returned it anyways.

There is not much you can do “legally” about your mother returning your ipod. Best thing to do is ask her why she returned it.

Thank you for your replies. The reason my mom took the iPod was because she didn’t like the fact that I could go on the internet with it. This was the only reason.
Thank you

Yes, unfortunately you are still considered a minor and living under her roof. Why don’t you try asking her why she took back the ipod. Perhaps she heard some music on the ipod that she didn’t approve of and she was upset.
Once you find out the real reason, ask her if there is anything you can do to get the ipod back (good grades, chores around the house etc.)
