Is there a Staue of Limitations after being charged with a crime. I was arrested in Washington state at the age of 18 for carring a loaded shotgun in a vehicle, at the time I was told if I don’t hear from the DA in a month or two they probally aren’t going to persue charges, 3 months later a joined the Military and 3+ years later a get a summons, hired a public defender needless to say it has been 5 years since I have heard anything at all for either of them DA or public defender. The public defender no longer works at that office but they were able to tell me the case is not closed. It’s now been 8 years since the crime. What can I, or should I do?

What is the statute of limitations for utility bills in WA state? I understand that “open accounts” (ie, revolving lines of credit) are limited to 3 years. However, I have a debt collector pursuing me for an outstanding balance on a bill accrued 5 years ago and they insist that the statute is 6 years, not 3. I am not clear if a utility bill is an “open account” or not.

Thank you!

I am wonder if there is a statue of limitations on permanent protection orders in WA. state, Snohomish county?

It has been sixteen years, do I need to go to the court to have it removed??

I thought it was removed a long time ago but when I went to purchase a hunting rifle I was denied because of this order…

Thanks,
