Property was seized in Denton County, Tx e.g. money and 8-liner gaming machines. I was aquitted in both trials and the sherriffs dept. was ordered to return the property. Property was not returned. Is there a statute of limitation on the return of the property?

What is the statue of limitation me in texas for a misdemeanor (class B) family assault?..If I stay out of state for that long will it go away? this is the second false one (first dismissed) that my ex wife has filed..the DA told me the first one was ” accidently” dismissed and then re opened,,,I don’t have the $$ to fight another one and cant get free legal help cause I get unemployment
