My friend had his license suspended for 60 days last year for 7 surchargable offenses in 3 years. No DUI’s at all.
Last month, his brakes failed and he ran a red light, now he has a ticket and they are saying that he has 7 offences in 3 years again and his license will be suspended for 60 days again. Is this possible? is the three year term a rolling open window which catches the three years prior to the new offense and takes all of them into consideration again even tho he served the time for 6 of them listed on the paperwork for the previous suspension?
I received a DUI in 2005 and 2006 in FL, recently my family and I relocated to Louisiana. My question to you is, since the DUIs are now 5 and 4 years old, can I acquire driving license in the state of Louisiana. The suspension in Florida for the last DUI will be over in March 2011, please respond at your soonest possible convenience…thank you in advance.
Was in a traffic ACCIDENT WHICH WAS DETERMINED MY FAULT FINED DIDN’T PAY THEN LICENSED SUSPENDED WILL ANYTHING ELES HAPPEN IF I DON’T PAY
ok, so I have already served a suspension from Aug 08 to Feb 09 in Grand Junction, CO for having 12 points in 24 months (from january 06 to december 07). got reinstated, all good, right? well it just so happens that i had 6 of those points in december 07. but since i’ve reinstated i have gotten another 6 points. Can they really serve ANOTHER suspension for tickets I’ve already served for before? this doesn’t seem fair to me.
I WAS REARENDED AND MY CAR WAS TOTALED. I DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE AND MY LICENSE IS SUSPENDED. THE OTHER DRIVER HAS INSURANCE, WILL I BE ABLE TO FILE A CLAIM AND GET COMPENSATED FOR MY VEHICLE? THANK YOU
I was involved in an accident in which I was at fault. When the police arrived, my license was found to be suspended. I have prior cases and currently under probation. What are my chances?
I was in a car accident in 1997 in Florida in which I received a DUI with property damage charge. I had no insurance at the time. Nobody seemed to be harmed at the scene, but about a year later, the insurance company of the accident victim succeeded in suing me for $30,000 to cover medical cost(chiropractor). The insurance company agreed to let me pay $50 /month and if I miss a payment then Florida DMV will suspend my license. I soon moved to Massachusetts, (I have had a clean driving record for 12 years). I promptly received a license but I stopped paying the insurance company the $50/mo. 12 years passed by with no problems and all of a sudden Massachusetts catches the discrepancy and decides to suspend my license until I straighten out what shows as “unpaid DUI fines from Florida 1997″ on my RMV report. The report was dated 2007 so apparently 2 years went by with it on my RMV rip without anyone noticing. Do I have any legal recourse such as; the statute of limitations on the judgement. Is there anything I can do to get my license back without this $30 grand on my back ?
I was pulled over routinely and I was told by the officer my license was suspended. I didn’t know it was. I was asked if it was to be suspended what would it be. Well I said since I have a good driving record it would only lead to child support. So in fact it was about child support. But i wasn’t late nor behind. Child Support agency did not update my records as paying on time. So i received a citation. The officer inscribed in the violation as “driving under license suspension with knowledge.” This is incorrect because there would be no reason for my license to be suspended because i was on time. I have my hearing tomorrow. I have all my records of payment and an error letter from child support agency. Being that I cannot admit guilty based on violation as describe verbatim. Do I have a chance beating this charge.
What is the procedure, in the state of Michigan, for obtaining a restricted license just for work if it has been suspended?
