I recently purchased a televison from Wal-Mart. Under Wal-Marts policy there is a 90 day exchange policy where if the TV is broken, damaged, etc they will exchange it for another one. My televison broke and I took it back to wal-mart for the exchange to get another TV (it was still covered under the 90 Day policy). When I got to Wal-Mart and was in the exchanging process, the manager said the TV i had recieved was different from the model that I had paid for (ie, I paid for a more expensive TV then what was in the box). I paid for a 42 in. LCD tv, and the TV i had recieved was a 42 in Plasma (plasma is cheaper). The box that I recieved said “42 in. LCD TV” and yet there was a 42 in Plasma TV in it. I am wondering if there is anything I can do in this situation. The manager said he could switch out the TV depending on who made the mistake. This depends on if Wal-Mart put the wrong TV (less expensive one) in the wrong Box (more expensive box) and charged the price for the more expensive TV when I received the worse quality TV. I feel that I have been wronged and essentially been baited and switched.
