My deceased mother didn’t have a will. She owns property, she was married until her death. Her husband has remarried, she left behind four adult children including myself. I want to know who owns the land and what do I need to do. I have been paying the taxes on land since my mother’s death. Thank You
My husband and I bought the above speck home in 2004 in Dec of 08 our leach field failed we have had to replace the leach field but have since found out that we have loss over half the value of or home or more. We also have a detailed report from the former Yuba County director of environmental health which states that law after law was broken when building this home we are in need of some one to represent our claim for damages. I am unsure what the statue of limitations is for this type of damage I hope that it is not a year as we are approaching that date. Thank you

My condo was built over 20 years ago and I bought mine 21/2 years ago and I ask about structure damage to the agent, bank and also ask HOA’s,they said it was just settling. Found out after I moved in that when these condo’s were built the construction co was sued for structure damage and HOA won, isn’t there a law that states about the struture damage when you ask before you buy, they need to tell you, nothing in my paper work on structure damage -only AS IF,Now they are bracing our building & contractors said this is struture damage.Cracks and crooked window . If I would of know of the struture damage I would of not bought this condo. Do I have anything legal to protect me. I should of been told.
A friend of mind took back a home that she was loosing because of monthly note increase. She was approached about taking it back by bank / mortgage co. It was a 6mo. trail to make sure she could pay the $600 per mo which she has. She just received notice that the note is jumping to $ 1200 per mo. for three months then it is unknown what will happen. Her mortgage co. says this is the gov. doing this since it is a FHA loan. She in no way can make these payments. What advice if any can you give. She has approached them with no success just a brick wall.

I purchased a home in Everett, Washington 5 years ago from the original owner who planted trees and bushes along there border 23 years ago. Looking at our property line on Snohomish County’s assessors office web site, the property line looks accurate. The border landscaping has always been maintained by the previous owner or myself. I want to remove the 2 trees (cedrus deodara) that are approximately 45 feet tall now and will be at least 120 feet or more when fully grown, presently they lean over our roof and destroy all plants and grass underneath, we call it the dead zone, we believe there is no other reasonable solution but to remove them and replace them with something else. My neighbor’s case is that since they have probably grown onto there property after 23 years of growth that I need there permission to trim the bushes and remove the trees, the trees stumps are on my property and they are leaning over our house. My neighbors side of the tree is beautiful and not leaning over there property at all, they want the trees to stay, our side is ugly and destructive and leaning over our home. What are my rights, and what are theirs? I am getting a survey done at a considerable expense. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!

I live in a house that sits on 2 acres of land. 1 acre is deeded to me the other belongs to a school that does not use the land. I have maintained that land and landscaping for over 25 years and now the school is saying they want it back. Do I have any recourse to say that since I have maintained the property for so long, I have rights to it? I live in North Carolina.
Thanks
