I was convicted in 1989 for possession and deliver of control substance (cocaine) less than 56 grams. I served 26 month and was released without seeing the board. I was kicked off parole after 6 months because all was well with me. I have achieved and associates in computer systems, and working on Bachelors or Science now. I need to expunge this record because it is stopping me from getting a job and providing for my family. I have been clean since 1992 march my release. Will and when will the laws change for a person that had two counts in one trail. Thanks. Please provide any links or information to this subject so that I may follow it closely. I live in Michigan. Also the other person in this case has been expunged over 5 years now because he took a plea for Delivery. What can be done to help me.

my boyfriend in detroit, mi is currently on parole for a drug charge. he recently got arrested and they are trying to put a new drug sales charge on him. he was found in a drug house but they did not find anything on him. they found five rocks located outside the home. can they pend that on him and if so will have to do time for it?
I live in michigan it was in allegan county…and on a suspended licence. I had a friend with me that has been drinking, i wasn’t drinking…he gave me and my friend a PBT or breathalyzer…and i blew 0.00’s…i was already in the back of the cop car….he pulled my friend out and started searching the car….didn’t ask me if he could. but he didn’t find anything but some seeds and stems…well i had my grandama come pick us up and the car was going to be impounded…we got picked up and i make it all the way to my house and i get a call from the officer saying that he found sticks of marijuana(plants) in my trunk and that i need to come clean or hes gona come pick me up, well i admitted they were mine. The question is how could he search my car or trunk for that matter if he didn’t ask me? or does it matter that i was driving on a suspended licence?
