I am currently living in the state of Ohio. About 2 years ago I took out a personal loan from a friend in the state of Texas. I always paid on time and there was never a late charge or anything of that nature. I moved form Texas to Ohio and after a month or so, I was unable to contact the party that loaned me the money. I searched for him but was unable to find a good contact phone number. I have had the same call phone number throughout the entire period. On Monday, the gentleman called me at work here in Ohio and I was delighted that we were in contact once again as I would like to pay the loan back. He stated that the only amount he would accept was $5000.00 and that if I didnt pay it by Friday (4 days later) that he would ask the courts there in Texas to garnish my wages. Is that possible? I am afraid that they will take my paycheck and I am a mother of four. I am unclear on how he would be able to garnish my wages for a personal loan but would like to know what I should do. I am willing to pay it but do not have all of it before tomorrow. Please help!
