can i get in trouble if im called for jury duty and i have a suspended license?
I live in Baltimore city and had jury duty this past Thursday. I forgot to go. I just realized today, Sunday. I have been summoned three times in the past two years and had to serve twice. What is my best course of action. I want to remedy the situation correctly. Do I get a lawyer or just show up at the court house and explain myself. The penalty is $1000 fine and/or 60 days jail time. The whole thing seems stiff and scary. That is what is explained in the summons note. I pay my taxes (home owner), I am a decent guy, just don’t understand legal matters. Well, just need some advice if anyone knows the Baltimore City courts or knows these matters.
