I was in a accident in 2006 should I report this to a lawyer who will handle this.
Christmas eve 1998 my daughter had to go off the road in order to not rear end a car in front of her making a left hand turn. She did not hit the vehicle. A van behind my daughter’s car, however, did rear end my daughter’s car to the point of putting a V in the back end. His vehicle had to be towed away and my daughter drove her car off. The police were called and a lady cop on a lightly rainy Christmas eve decided not to give any tickets to anyone. I believe the guy who rear ended my daughter should have received a ticket. My daughter has had neck troubles since then but at the time didn’t seem to be hurt. I called and talked with the lady cop and said that someone who rear ends another vehicle is supposed to receive a ticket. In this case it was so obvious. Has the statue of limitations run out on this accident. Thanks for your help.

I crashed on December 10, 2009 in a parking lot. I hit three parked cars and so far all my insurance company has been able to tell me is that the cost for damages exceeds my coverage. While my coverage is 10,000 one car alone is charging 18,785. Is there any way for them to sue me, and ask more than the actual cost of their vehicles? Is there anyway for me to legally pay less than what they ask for?

while i was working, my van was damaged, we use our own cars to do community projects with disabled people and doing so a client accidently knocked a dolly onto the hood of my van. my company said they are responsible but only for my deductible of my insurance. is this true? and which type of insurance does it fall under collision or comprehensive.
I recently purchased a new car. At the time I only left proof of prior insurance on old car to the sales agent at dealership. A week later a car ran a red light and slammed my car into a semi. I have learned that my policy lapsed and I purchased insurance 45 min late cause while I was registering the car and getting insurance the accident happened. How can I get my car loan and medical paid? My Girlfriend was paying the insurance on line during the time of the accident.

My son was driving a friends vehicle and he fell asleep at the wheel. The SUV went off the road and he got it back on and under control. He described that he went airborne. I don’t know how high but he did damage the grill and front bumber of the vehicle. He was able to continue driving and made it back home.
He told his friend and he replaced the grill and had some friends(not licensed mechanics)check it to see if it was ok to continue driving it. They said yes. He plans on paying to repair the bumper as well. The friend later (unknown when)heard a ticking after the accident and the check engine light came on. The friend continued to drive the vehicle for 2 months after the accident with the check engine light on and the ticking sound, then it broke down and had to be towed. The vehicle was towed to a licensed garage where after their inspection they found that the vehicle needed a new motor. The car manufacturer was contacted by the garage for possible warranty coverage on the engine and the claim was denied due to the engine being run when it was hot. In talking with the service manager at the garage and explaining all this to him; he could not say that the accident was the sole cause of the engine damage and since the vehicle was run for 2 months after he didn’t feel it was the likely cause.
The mechanic did see dirt under the under carriage of the vehicle but no visible damage was found.
My son feels some responsibility and I agree but I only feel he owes for the physical damage (grille and bumper) and (if his friend would have taken it in) a diagnostic check and possible repairs at that point.
Doesn’t his friend have a responsibility to respond to the check engine light on his own vehicle by taking it in for the diagnostic check? Also isn’t he responsible if he’s aware of a problem and he does nothing to prevent further damage?
I don’t want my son to be the scapegoat for the owner not being responsible. Also, if the warning from the check engine light would have be checked this incident (the complete engine failure) probably would not have happened or would have been covered under warranty. My son wants to be fair with his friend and I do too so what is he liable for?
I was rear ended by a girl driving her dads car a few weeks ago. No police report was filed. They told me they would pay for my damages. I called my broker anyway (on record). They (girl n dad)turned out to be shady, so I called in a claim to there company. They sent a ins. adjuster to estimate damages. I was quoted 1000 to 1100. The adjustor said 650. I was waiting for a check n nothing. Call there company..He said I hit him. I have damage to my bumper and they have damage to front end. I have pics of both cars (not the day of accident though-she lives around corner from me. I have my broker on record – day of accident, there ins. info, a accident report (I filled out later)n pics of both cars (clear she hit me). I want to take them to small claims..do I have a case? Do I name him (its his car n regs.)in the suit?
Was in a traffic ACCIDENT WHICH WAS DETERMINED MY FAULT FINED DIDN’T PAY THEN LICENSED SUSPENDED WILL ANYTHING ELES HAPPEN IF I DON’T PAY
I was wondering, if you were sued by an insurance company, because you were driving without car insurance and got into an accident. If you never paid and they closed your case. case was closed in 2007. Its now 2010 and you are trying to get you licenses back. DMV need a letter from insurance company saying its closed. My question is can the insurance company re-open your case to retrieve their money and so, what is the statue of limitation.
