My 28 year old son and his 21 year old friend went shopping at BJ’s wholesale club(they are members). They bought 4 cases of water,a case of Mountain Dew,a pack of Danishes. After they paid they showed the checker at the door their receipt. As they were exiting 4 police officers detained them ,searched their cart, frisked them in the foyer and ran their ids for warrants. They found nothing. My son and his friend were frightened and humiliated. Can they do this? They took nothing. They were told they looked suspicious. My son’s friend is Hispanic. This is a primarily white community? Hamilton Township NJ
