In 1991 I started to go back to college and i was working for a local goverment agency in knoxville tn as a Vista volunteer I was allow to take one credit at a time as a volunteer. up till 1997 i remained a student on and off I borrowed 2,600. Now in 1997 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and I also have nerpopathy diabeties and heart condition and lymnoedema though out my body I have technocardia and PTSD Im on pain medication and several other drug to help me be stable. I filled out several paper with the first Tenn. bank and had my Dr fill out papers also the bank turned me down and then next thing I’m getting all kinds of calls my life has been rough like others I was a single mom and had no Income from 1997 after getting pushed out of my job in the city county goverment there and I lost my home and my self confidence I got approved fr my disability in june of 2002 and I moved to another part of town thanks to my friends doing all the work it was ok. again after no contact from the loan place I filled out papers again They say they haven’t gotten them back now im getting threating notes I tried going back to work under the ticket to work program and with filing my taxes and for the first time and the last time i recieved earn income credit my son is 19 now and married so you can see why I said that and the student loan people collected approxamently $4058.00 from this. I’m no longer working like that and I felt good that some of that was paided off well a few months go by and now I’m told I owe $6,000 plus and that they are going to garnish money from me ive taken on a part time job so I can continue to pay my bill I make $127.oo per week and take home $87.50 after deductions of which i have an extra $20.00 per week taken out and sent to the IRS and when I file my taxes this year they will get that to can GC service which is collecting for the Dept of ED TSAC what can they do as far as garnishment goes..
