Small Claim by my TX company against defendant’s co. in NYC

My company (a TX Corp.) is in the wholesale clothing business. One of my customers in NYC signed a purchase order with my company to supply clothing to them for approx $3,800. The same were shipped to them with a Net 30 credit. It has been 6 months since the shipment of the goods and I have still not been paid. My question is: Which Small Claims Court should I file the suit in? My company is in Plano, TX and the customer is in NYC.

I would file the claim in Plano TX. It does not cost anything (except for a possible court fee). If the courts says you need to claim in New York, then do that.

Also, the company in New York will need to deal with a Texas Small Claims court.
