I’m looking for in depth information regarding search and seizure laws. I’m writing a term paper and I need to know the following:
Searching both the person and property
Probable cause
Search warrants
Etc.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You can always start with the most important document ever written. The United States Constitution. The first amendment states concerning search and seisure:
“no warrant shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
For the individual looking for info on “Probable cause” a must read legal case found on google is Terry v. Ohio ruled on in the United States Supreme Court. Simply put probable cause is that a cop cannot arrest/jail you unless he has probable cause to believe or knows and or has knowledge in his hand that you have committed or are committing or are about to commit a crime only then can a cop arrest you. The first ammendment does deal with the issue of a warrant but the fourth ammendment is the one you will argue in court if you are falsely arrested/jailed more than likely.
