I have recently invested $2,000 in a company to help me build a website. My friend paid the bill for me, then we decided not to do it; however, the company never refunded the money. the guy told me initially that he had ten business days to refund my money; is that true for electronic debit card transactions? moreover, the refund never came; so, he asked for her to send her bank statement to prove that there is no refund. now he claims that he has thirty days to refund her money from the time he recieves the fax; is that true? Now, what is the statue of limitations that I have to file a claim against him for no refund. I live in michigan and his business is in california. Please help asap, time is running. I really appreciate your help.

I would take him to small claims court. Bring the contract and any other evidence and correspondence you had with him.

Did you sign anytype of contract with the company? Was there a verbal agreement that included a refund discussion?
