My brother and his wife bought a home 6 months ago from an owner who had presured them in the end about someone else wanting to buy. In my opion they paid to much, but now 6 months later they have 3 large cracks in the foundation and a big down the concret drive. His plaster is cracking in the older part of the home. This is in Illinois. Does he any thing legal route he can pursue?

With a new home, Yes. With an older home it is up to your brother to bring in his own home inspector prior to a purchase. I really don’t think there is much your brother can do at this point unless the home was newly built. You may want to call a real estate lawyer but I’m assuming they will tell you the same.
