I have a neighbor who is noisy late at night on the week ends. He has a record of assault, destruction of property, and possession of alcohol. He has verbally threaten me on several occasions. He was placed on probation for assault back in 2004. How long does the probation last. How do I get him to stop having loud parties on the weekend.

You could also try and get a protective order/ restraining order against him. Also, keep a log of everything he does that is loud, threatening, or unlawful. That way, when you call the police you can refer to the log.

You would have to look up his criminal record pertaining to how much probation is left. What you can do about the noise is contact the cops and report the noise. Also, let them know since he has a violent background you would rather them not tell this guy whom filed the complaint.
The police will ask him to keep the noise down and if it continues, they will lock him up.
