Parental Right termination, Ohio

I just recently found out that the man who has been raising my two year old son and who is on his birth certificate is not his biological son. His biological father does not want anything to do with my son and we were discussing terminating his parental rights. How is this done in Ohio?

He has no rights to terminate. You named the wrong man as Father. In eyes of the law he “is” the Father and Bio Dad has no rights

Parental rights can be terminated by court order for the protection of the child or by consent of the parents. Here, you have the consent of the other parent so get in contact with a local family law attorney and the process should be relatively simple. Keep in mind that It terminates all rights and obligations of the parent with respect to the child.
