Q: I have received an unauthorized debit on 3.28.2008 from a company called EME marketing in the amt of 300.00. Disputed this with my bank and it was resolved. I have placed a ach debit restraint on this acct so I can still receive my stimulus check and opened another acct. On or around 4.01.2008 I started receiving calls from a National Credit Adjusters out of Hutchinson KS. It pertained to a over due pay day loan taken out the week prior-(same company that had debited my acct). I disputed this and asked them no longer to call and to please validate this debt. They have not provided any documents saying I owe a debt what they have provided is a bill in the amt of 810.00 for 300.00 loan-which I am currently disputing this also. Today when I checked my online banking I had an unauthorized debit hit my frozen acct(not to frozen huh) in the amt of 510.00 from National Credit Adjusters. I have never given these people my banking info and I am now disputing this with my bank. What can I do? I have placed fraud alerts with all 3 credit bureaus and have filed complaints with the bbb, ftc, and states attorneys office.
