Medical, not eating before an appointment

A few months ago i had a SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia) attack ..I followed up with my doctor and he referral me to a cardiologist…Well he ran a few test on me and he found a hold in my heart..He set me up a appointment so that i could have pictures taking of my heart to See how big the hold was..Well he told me not to eat after 12 a.m…So when I made it to my appointment at 1 p.m I had to wait a few more hours…So when I finally made it to my room I was around 4 p.m and I was still waiting for him because he had a lot of patient head of me…So I couldn’t take it anymore i just and to eat..I ask if I could make another appointment and he did…When it was time for my appointment I got a call from his office and was told that he had to go out of town and I needed to call back in two weeks to make another appointment ..So 2 weeks past and I called back and the nurse at the front desk told me that the doctor was going to call me back but he never did…I have called and called and called and he never returned my phone call..My question to you is cant he get in some type of trouble for that?
