Thank you for taking the time to read my posting. Here is the concern, my personal belongings are inside my exgirlfriends mothers storage unit and when I spoke with my ex she stated that she and her brother would need to go thru my boxes/belongings to insure none of their belongings are inside my boxes. Under no circumstance do I want her brother or her to go thru any of my personal belongings. Her mother feels that they have the right to go thru any of my personal belonging. I have stated to them several times to stay out of my personal property and need to first find a way to insure they do not go thru any of my property. Her brother has stolen from me in the past and I do not want him anywhere near my property due to owning some high dollar Music Studio equipment. I feel her brother may steal some of my things and/or try to put something illegal in one of my boxes. What is the best course of action to handle the concern of making sure they do not go thru any of my belongings and also so they understand as far as I know that it is against the law for them to go thru my personal belongings. What’s the best course of action? I live in Salt Lake City Utah.
