girlfriend holding personal property

My girlfriend and i recently split up. Before i moved into my new place it was understanding between us both that i could get the rest of my stuff when she returned from out of state on a family emergency. She has been back now for three weeks and refuses to let me have my tv or ps3. Before we broke up she claimed that I owed her for back rent and attorney fees for my duii 2 years ago. i helped her pay the bills the entire time i was with her wich was about two years. Yes she did help me with my attorney and i have since given her $3400.00 within the last 2 months. She came back with reciepts saying that it is for back rent. Now she has sent all of my stuff to my mothers with the exception of the tv and ps3. She informed her daughter to let me know that she was holding my tv and ps3 for collateral, is this legal. i have never agreed to the back rent that she claims that i owe and i have not signed anything sating that i do owe her. It all comes down to the fact that i am moving on with my life and do not want to be with her again. What can I do?
