I am going through a divorce with a women I’ve been married to for over 12 years. We recently broke up and now going through a messy divorce. I’ve hired an attorney to handle my case. The other day we met with both my attorney and her attorney. She is being very stubborn and wants the house, car, kids you name it. She also wants a huge sum of money each month, almost the same amount of money I make per month. It is just crazy. My attorney told me no to worry about it because there is no way my ex-wife could get in other words the “farm”. I live in West Virginia. Does anyone have experience on this matter?

I’ve seen this too many times. These days Fathers have equal rights. There is no way your ex will get even near your whole paycheck but she could get half of what has accumilated during the marriage thats for sure. You will also want to file for full custody as you probably already have done. If you file for partial custody and your ex-wife files for full custody you are already behind the eight ball.
