Is there any civil liability if a woman injures herself and blames it on her spouse to gain an upper hand in a divorce? He was arrested, briefly jailed, his academic career is on hold or possibly ended, he has been restricted in his visitation of the couples 10 year old daughter, and after the event she lived in the house, but paid no bills forcing it into foreclosure, prompting the court to order it sold. The husbands family was willing to save the property with the single provision she not live there. as she had already moved out that was not an issue.
