If this was your first drug charge chances are you will get probation only if the two bags of heroin you were talking about were little bags. Now if the bags were big and they think you were distributing heroin than yes you should be very worried. Baltimore City has one of the highest rates for heroin use in the United States. If they put everyone in jail because they had a bag or 2 of heroin on them, the prisons would be a mess, not that they aren’t right now. What I would do if I were you is contact a Baltimore drug lawyer and see what he says about the charges. I think under a certain amount it will be considered a misdemeanor unless it was intent to sell or distribute.

I’m almost guessing that when you talk to your criminal lawyer he will tell you to get back in a rehabilitation program immediately. It could potentially keep you out of jail.

My boyfriend was just arrested for drug charges in Baltimore County. He is also in the process of contacting law firms. I will come back and tell you who he hired. He was pulled over and they found a small vile of cocaine. I don’t think it is a felony though.

Baltimore City needs to do something about this. When I was growing up there used to be marijuana, acid and mushrooms. Now you walk down the streets of Baltimore and you have these drug dealers dealing everything from heroin, cocaine to Crystal Meth. The big problem is these criminal attorneys in Baltimore that are making a huge killing in getting these criminals out of jail. I have a friend that is a criminal lawyer and he takes drug cases each and everyday. I always tell him that he is doing something so wrong and one day he will know someone near and dear to his heart that becomes an addict.

I think if the courts start keeping these drug dealers and users in jail for more than 2 months at a time, Baltimore City would be a much better and safer place to live. I will not recommend a drug lawyer because I personally hope you go to jail.

No I don’t have an alcohol problem but I do have a problem with drug offenders. Have you looked in the yellow pages lately at the attorney section. Most of the attorneys here in Towson, Parkville, Essex, Dundalk, Baltimore, Perry Hall, White Marsh, should I go ON are now practicing criminal law just because of this horrible problem! It is truly a money maker for those attorneys that can live with themselves for getting repeat offenders out of drug charges. It makes me sick.

If you are looking for a good drug lawyer in any of these places perhaps you should walk down the street and yell “I need a Drug Lawyer” You will have all sorts of lawyers coming out of the wood work. I would wish you luck but you will need it again in 6 more months when you get picked up for the same charge.
