I live in New York and I’m hearing on the news lately about all these dog bites. My question is if a dog bites someone and they are found guilty do they put the dog asleep? I was watching the news the other night of a person that was bitten by a dog and they hired an attorney and won the case. If they win the case I’m assuming that the dog is put to sleep. I have 2 dogs, one Pitbull and a German Shepard and I’m concerned because my dogs will attach if someone comes on our property. What is the legality of this and will my dogs be put to sleep if they were to attach someone coming onto our property?

If the person was attacked an wounded badly there is a chance they will put your dog to sleep. There have been a huge number of dog bite cases everywhere. Best thing to due is not allow you dog to roam freely and you won’t have to deal with the alternative and the alternative is good.
