Confused about divorce

My wife filed for divorce in 1993 and i thought it was finalized so i moved out of state. The other day i found out the divorce was not finalized. Our daughter is now 21 years old and not living at home but my EX said if i file for divorce she wants back child support. Can she do that?

sorry for your situation.
Just to clarify something for you…in order for your ex-wife to bring an action for back child support, she would have needed to be entitled to child support in the first place (i.e. filed the appropriate court documents granting her support). Obviously this was not something that she did because it turns out that the two of you were never divorced.
Divorce and child support are separate entities and you should consult with a family law attorney to help with this potentially complicated situation.
