My fiance has been helping his ex with her childeven knowing that it is not his child. We love her child very much. She gave the child his last name. And now has threatened us that she wants to get child support from us because she got angry because we couldn’t watch her child for her. I was wondering if she can actually collect knowing it is not his child. And if she can since my fiance is currently unemployed and if we get married soon, will I have to pay the child support?

Unless this man has signed the birth acknowledgment or certificate he cannot be forced to pay support. He should tell her to seek a court order if she wants support at that time court will likely order paternity test to establish who is Father. If he is not Father then its over. If he Father then court can then address custody, support and, visitation.
