The incident started about 4:30 a.m. in the Mercer Island business district, when the officer, on routine patrol, approached two cars that appeared to be involved in a road-rage incident, said Mercer Island Police Commander Leslie Burns.
One of the cars took off, leading the officer on a high-speed pursuit, Burns said. At one point, the car stopped and as the officer approached it, it took off again, traveling into the oncoming lane of traffic as it sped off, Burns said.
The officer eventually followed the vehicle down a dead-end street in the 3400 block of 76th Avenue South, where it stopped. As the officer got out of his patrol car to approach the suspects’ car, it came at him in reverse, striking the officer’s hand, and slamming into his patrol car, Burns said. The officer fired off two or three rounds, but nobody was hit, Burns said.
he was the driver of the car too , how long do you think he will be going to jail for ?
