How long do I have to submit a claim with my insurance company for a home burglary in California?
Is it illegal for an insurance company to try to low ball someone that was involved in a car accident? I have a friend that was involved in a car accident in Pennsylvania, Wilkes Barre and instead of hiring an attorney he worked directly with the insurance company. They told him that they would settle the case quickly if he didn’t hire legal representation. He agreed, told them the full story and now they came in much lower than expected. Is this legal and what should he do?
I was involved in a car accident several months ago. I’m not the type of person that just sues someone to get money. I know the accident was unintentional so instead of hiring an attorney, I have been dealing directly with the insurance company. They made me an offer to settle the case and I declined because the offer didn’t cover all my expenses and damages to my car.
I am now in a position that I may need to hire a lawyer to get full compensation for my accident. Now that the insurance company has dealt directly with me, what are my chances to get full money for the accident? I heard from a friend that insurance companies will use my statements against me and I probably wouldn’t get the money I’m expecting.
IS THIS TRUE?
I was involved in a minor fender bender. Their was no real damage to my car however I did miss a day of work because of the accident. Is it worth hiring an attorney or should I just settle with the other person’s insurance company?
I had an issue with my home and the insurance company told me they aren’t covering all the damages. Can someone please let me know what I should do. The expense to clean up this mess is well in the 2-3K range.
My brother was involved in an accident about 3 months ago. He was rear-ended and his car was totaled. He decided to work with the other persons insurance company rather than hiring legal representation. The insurance company will only pay for a fraction of the repairs. What can he do now?
I was involved in an accident with a car. My car flipped. I got a DUI. We both sustained minor injuries. When I stopped another car hit me taking minor damage. My car looks totaled. I called my insurance agent and he had me call the claims people. I called and gave vague information. I said someone else was injured. They said they were passing my claim to their bigger office. A woman called me and left a message saying she was from the claims office and had questions about the accident. How should I handle the insurance company now (the other guys lawyer called to ask for my policy already)? I still have not had my arraignment or any court dates, if that matters.
