I live in New York, New York. I am trying to understand if I was served yesterday by my husband seeking a divorce or not. I live in an apartment building. The server was waiting outside when I left. He called my name and I told him to leave me alone, turned around and went back into the building. He left the notice on the entry door to the building and yelled you have been served. He never got within 30 feet of me. The doorman threw the paperwork away. What do you think?
Almost a year ago my husband, we are now separated but not legally, borrowed money from his grandmother and used it to purchase a couch at an auction. We separated and he moved out of the house 5 months ago and now she wants to come and take the couch out of the house…can she legally do so without proof that it is hers?
i was married to my ex wife for about 7 to 8 years and we have a son together and now she is telling me that he might not be mine and i’m paying child support and i was wondering since i am on the birth certificate do i still have rights to him if he is not mine
I live in Florida and moved out of my home two years ago, My spouse and I have a close relationship and still see each other and spend the night at either our house and my apartment. I also receive mail there and have many of my personal belongings there. My spouse says I own the home but have no legal rights as to who can come and go and who can live there since my moving out is considered abandonment of the home. Is this true?

What are the paternal grandparent’s rights in Ontario when the son (living in a common-law relationship) has died leaving a 10-year old daughter? Before he died in Oct. 2009, the grandmother had daily contact with the child either through telephone or visitation (they live on farms across the road from each other), and their relationship was and still is a positive one.

While married to my husband, I had an online ‘affair’ with another man. The other person and I never met up or had any physical relations, except for talking on the internet. My husband is positive that that is considered adultery, while I said that it’s not because adultery is having physical relations with someone other than your spouse. Who is right?
My name is Michelle, my parents asked me to help them look on the Internet to see how is it possible for them to get a divorce. They both agree on getting divorce, the problem is my father lives in Mexico and my mother lives in Texas. My question is, is it possible for them to get a divorce?.

my ex left me and our children. after a few month i need our children to live with him. with the understanding i would be able to visit, call, and pick our children up when i could. and that if he could no long take care of our children he was to bring our children back to live with me. he was at the time living with is parents. he moved out of his parent and left our children there. that was not our arrangement. after he moved out of his parents house. his parent started not letting me have me rights as their mother. i informed them i was going to take my children and have them live with me. his parent to me if i come to there house and try to get my children they would call the cops on my and hide my children from me there is no custody order and i have never signed over my rights. can his parents stop me from getting my children
