I am hoping to appeal a permanent restraining order in Colorado. I am fairly confident that the person who took the order out would not fight to keep it in place as it has been 15 years. However, I am wondering if it is even possible after entering a guilty plea with no defense posed in the initial trail. As well, what is a ballpark cost for something like this?
We obtained a restraining order against another tenant in our apt bldg. The order just expired (3 yrs max). He is now harassing us again. We are applying for another restraining order. Is our apartment owner (Seal Beach, CA)legally responsible to evict this tenant to protect us? He has attacked us, threw things at us and threatened us.This is an Oakwood complex with 550 units.
If i already have a stay away order against another person and we have been to court to legalize the order, but the person still calls me( sometimes private). What can I do so that this person leaves me alone for good?
IF THERE IS A MUTUAL CHILD INVOLVED HOW DO THE PARENTS COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER? CAN THEY ATTEND SCHOOL FUNCTIONS WITHOUT ONE VIOLATING THE ORDER?
can one be lawfully granted if the complaint summons is inaccurate, can you appeal a granted order, and shouldnt the accusations be proven not just voiced. This is in the state of Colorado
My ex filed a restraining order against me, but doesn’t have a strong case (I believe she filed it to stop me from suing in small claims court, as I was just about to do).
I suspect she’s trying to “force” me to violate it to get me arrested or jailed before the hearing to make her case stronger by trying to be at places she knows I frequent so she can call the police when I arrive. I’ve been a complete shut-in since I was served the TRO and have been trying to use different bus routes and such when I go to work. I’m terrified that she’s going to come to my door or start trying to bait me out somehow…
This fear is real, and seriously affecting my quality of life. Is this fear for my safety grounds to file a restraining order back against her?
My ex business partner (whom I used to date), filed a “domestic violence” restraining order as preemptive measure to stop me from suing her for a personal loan I wished to be repaid. It’s only a TRO now, and hopefully won’t go further than this, but do I need to stop the small claims suit I was just about to file against her? If somehow the RO is made permanent, am I barred from suing her in the future?
Back in 2007 soon after my second born son had passed I wrote some bogus checks in order to feed my first born. In 2008 charges were filed, but I didn’t know. I found probably about a year after when I heard that there was a warrant for my arrest. I obviously don’t have an account any more and I am a single mother of two. I stay home with them since my youngest was born three months premature and has learning disabilities. I have been running from my kids father who was severely abusive and I have a protective order against. My problem is I still have a warrant out for my arrest and my protective order will expire soon. I had planned on moving out of state to get away from my ex but what happens if I move? Say I get pulled over, will they find my warrant? I am from Ada, Oklahoma Which is in Pontotoc County. The offense according to an on demand court records says its “OBT. $, PROP., OR VAL. THING BY FALSE/BOGUS CK UNDER $500″ Can anyone give me some advice?
How do I appeal a restraining order that was put on me with no proof just lies
