Can a child’s parents sue the opposing party for having sex with their son or daughter in which they consented? If so, will a misdemeanor be charged and filed into their criminal record? And are they still able to communicate?
what is statue of limitation for prosecuting a misdemeanor
Hi,
In 1992, Charleston, SC, I was convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute Narcotics & Accessory. I plead guilty to Misdemeanor charges & was given 5 years probation. After 3 years I was released so that I could move to another state. I have since carried a notary public license for 12 years, and served on a jury. Now that I have tried to purchase a pistol I have discovered my charges are being viewed as a Felony.
In 1993 the laws were changed and due to the length of my probation that is the determining factor in being viewed as a felon. Isn’t there some sort of “grand-father” clause that would stand due to the 1992 conviction before the laws changed??
It is my understanding that I can get this expunged. Is this possible?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
My son had a OVI misdemeanor in 2009. He spent 1 month in county jail and also had a home monitoring ankle bracelet for 18 days prior to sentencing. He was released and placed on probation for 1 year. We live in Ohio. He was working and then was pulled over in a different county. Another OVI and since he refused to blow, they were allowed to go back 20 years on his record which made this a 4th degree felony. He wore another ankle monitor for 4 months and then served 4 months in prison. He is now on community control and rehab. Since his 1 year probation was not complete before the felony, will he be penalized for the misdemeanor he didn’t complete?
Hi, my name is Nathan and i’m in trouble with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. I’m 19 and she is 15. We were out at 3 am at night and I was taking her to see a friend. And we parked in a parking lot and a cop came over and after awhile of talking he issued me a court citation. I wanna know how this would turn out in court. Is a misdemeanor 1. And I just wanna know the penalty for contributing to the delinquency of minor?
Hello,
I have a question about a misdemeanor that I recently received. I was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for identifying myself as a different person to the officer. I have no prior criminal records so I was not trying to hide anything and this was my first arrest. The only reason why I did this was because I was scared and nervous, I know it sounds foolish but it’s the truth. I’m 21 years old, a college student, and this happened in Riverside County in CA. I just want to know what the penalty that the court might give me?
Thank You
Want to go to law school and practise in GA. Need to know if the felony conviction I got back in 2004 would allow me to do that. The felony was in Michigan. I also have a couple of misdemeanors before that. I have since completely changed my life. Only had legal trouble for 2 years during a period of drug/alcohol abuse.
I’m from Arizona, and just had my misdemeanor conviction set aside a few days ago. What I can’t figure out is whether or not I have to still put the conviction on employment applications.
I was denied a apt. because I have misdemeanors on my record has this and is it ok for them to do so they were so minor as to some being traffic tickets
is there a statute of limitations on a class b misdemeaner arrest warrant in Texas violation of property code
