Me and my 8 yr old daughter has just moved to a new neighborhood and the neighbor does not like me my daughter got on the school bus and the neighbors 7 or 8 year old daughter started making my daughter feel bad by calling (me) her mom a whore and other names saying her mama knows me. Can I get her for slander or what can I do? I mean sue the mother not the daughter since this is where she got the statement from.
I got a text from a friend and it was a picture of me that was hung above a cash register in a store with shoplifter written under it in black marker. The picture was posted for everyone to see. I was in this store a few days before and was looking at a pair of sneakers to buy for my daughter. I picked up the box and carried them around with me for a little while looking at other things. I decided not to buy them and put them on a shelf by the register before walking out. When I got the text I went to the store and the manager started yelling at me telling me I’m not welcome there. I tried to explain myself and he told me I stole them and it was on camera as he walked away from me. Told me I am lucky they didn’t press charges. Told me he wouldn’t take photo down. Another manager came out and told me if I paid for them she would take photo down. I had no choice but to pay for them, even though I didn’t take them, just so they would take the picture down. I left the store as she was taking the picture above her register down. There was another picture hanging over the other register in the store and I’m not sure if that was taken down also. This is a private store not in a mall. My question is, is there anything I can do at this point? I’m afraid to go back to the store to see if the other picture is down. Can I sue the store for false accusations? I don’t know how long the photo was hanging up nor do I know how many people saw it being it is a local store. Any advise would help
My Spanish class in high school is now online.
One of the assignments requires me to create 3 voice characters, record a speech at home, and the teacher will play them out loud in class. (Front of everyone)
Am I required to do this?
If there is a law for this, and he asks me to just do it in front of the class, wouldn’t that be treating me differently than others?
I am in a custody battle for my son. His dad just filed false allegations against me for neglect. What do I do?
I have a feeling they did this because We fly him out to LA where I live from CO every month. I am supposed to pay child support but got laid off. I have to pay one way for my son to come out here but they pay for the flight back, so now they don’t have the money to pay for him fly because I am not paying child support. They filed the report stating the alligations after finding out I did not have to pay until i have job. I already mailed in a response to the motion. They have no grounds to make the claims they did, nor do they have proof. What can I do to protect myself and can they get criminal charges or anything for making false accusations? HELP!!! Additional information They are trying to get an emergency hearing, saying my son is in immanent danger of physical harm. Also, if they claim they took him to the doctors due to the aftermath of the “neglect”, what would need to happen to prove they did or didnt take him?
Is it legal for a website to list my name, home address, and age after I was arrested? And to keep it there even though I wasn’t found guilty and the charges were dropped?
