I have had issue arise over this week that has profoundly affected my reputation and relationship with my family. For a brief history on the circumstances I used to have an addiction problem for which I voluntarily admitted myself to a drug rehabilitation facility where I completed the program along with staying absent from drug use following my release. In doing so I was able to rebuild my relationship with my family. However, earlier this week my grandmother received a phone call from an unfamiliar person who stated I was using drugs again and that they had the proof. Along with stating that I was currently wanted by the local police department for drug use. These are of course all false. And as a direct result of this person my relationship with family is in ruins. My grandfather who is currently on his death bed was informed of this information and has broken his heart and lost all trust and respect for me. I would like to know what I should do to stop this and take action to those at fault. I live in the Knoxville, TN and would like any information available if at all possible. What do I have to do to regain my reputation.
Sheriff disseminating sex offender information that is completely false – offender never charged or convicted of the statutes listed. Although sheriffs office added the incorrect info, knowing it is in fact incorrect, the info is disseminated on a site not owned or operated by the sheriffs office or SLED.
IF A PERSON WERE TO SUE FOR PUBLISHED SLANDER IN THE NEWSPAPER AND ON THE INTERNET IN VARIOUS PLACES, WHO DO YOU LEGALLY SUE?
HOW CAN ONE GET THIS REMOVED FROM THE INTERNET?
I have been harassed by a woman for 5 months now via the telephone, internet, and now she’s contacting co-workers of mine anonymously via an internet app on Facebook defaming my character. She always calls blocked but I know who the individual is. How would I go about starting the process of prosecuting her and proving all the evidence I have leads back to her? I was told I should get a Peace Order to stop her from contacting me but I’d like to have all the issues resolved and not just stop it temporary.
My fiance and I helped my uncle move out of my aunt’s house. Nobody knew he was leaving. The things he took with him were all possessions he bought, including a $15 wireless router. Apparently they misplaced my deceased mother’s wedding gown [which they all knew I wanted]. They called the cops and said we broke in, took the items [gown and router] without consent and there was a warrant out for all three of our arrests. I later received a text from my cousin saying they found the gown. I called the officer as soon as I received the message. The officer was away at a car accident scene, and then the shifts changed. I doubt the officer got the message of the gown being found got to the officer. Either way, it’s over with. I now want to sue for defamation of character and false incrimination. My fiance and I have careers that have been put in jeopardy now and in the future. What can I sue for? I also want to sue them for the gown and 2 pictures I was told, by my mother, I could have.
1.) HOA keeps sending me deed restriction violation notices.
Garbage bins are placed out on Sunday the night before Monday morning pick up. Sometimes mine stays out until the next day, Tuesday.
I get a notice that says I have to take it in within 14 days or face a deed restriction fine of 125.00.
NEVER has my bin been in front of my home for 14 consecutive days, yet they still want to charge me 125.00
2.) My garage doors match the color of my home which is 0000 and 0001. One door is a shade off (one is 000 & the other 0001) but both match the color of my home.
3.) Our HOA treasurer and his wife have told everyone I am delinquent with my dues. NOT true. Bill pay sends out the payment every quarter and they cash the checks.
The HOA treasurer’s wife tried to physically prevent me from entering the community pool. I told her to MOVE and I went in anyway. She called the police on me. No action was taken by the police. I showed the police I am pay my dues in full each and every quarter.
After a few months the HOA Treasurer approached me and apologized for not reading the statements correctly and accusing me of being delinquent. Big deal…my character was already defamed.
I am a custodial father of a 6 yr old girl. I have had sole custody since March 2009. The mother was granted supervised visits twice a week. A year prior the March decision and since, the ex-wife and her now husband have attempted to create altercations with me including stalking me at church and confronting me in front of my daughter’s Sunday school, following me after visitation exchanges and harassing me when I bring my child to her mother’s supervised visit.
In Sept ‘09 the mother and her husband created a site on Facebook where they posted my daughter’s photo with her name. They also included information about the custody change and requested supporters to help her win custody back. They are accusing me of sexually and physically abusing my daughter and are also requesting donations to help them fight. I filed a civil harassment restraining order against them. The site was taken down because of that but right before it was deleted, several new sites were created. I have a pending trial for the harassment RO I am seeking. I am looking to find an attorney that does these types of cases. Located near Sacramento, CA. Also, a lawsuit would be different than this TRO…correct?

Hello my question is in regards to defamation of character. I live in Aurora, Illinois and coached a little league baseball team for the past 6 years. I have since been removed from the league with no probable cause. I know that the was a board meeting and not all attendees know who I am, therefore I am sure they were clued in. My question is since the meeting was held in private and without me to defend my name/reputation, can I file a claim? Is there enough there enough probable cause to file?
