changing the law for cosigners and making the primary person totally responsible.

why is it that cosigners don’t have the right to have their name legally removed when the primary person is not living up to their responsibility on making the payments on time or at all!

we as cosigners only signed our names to help that person get the vehicle, not to be responsible for making the payments or owning the car.

why can’t something so simple as removing our name and refinancing the car to the primary person be done?

this is the only negative thing on my credit report, I lost my job in 2008 and I can’t make the payments, I can’t get a job or credit cards because of the of this. There needs to be a law to make the primary person responsible and not the cosigner!

I had a credit report done 4 day ago, Trans 575, Exp 609, Equ 667. I had a duplicate taken off by Exp, which had mis represented my debt to income severely for my mid score.Once the duplicate was deleted, we ran it 3 days later. The Exp, my mid score, went up to 636 which should have ment that my mid score went up over the threshold for lendors (620).
The other two went to 603, identical and nothing changed for those agencies. I meen nothing. There is no way that I or any other agent or lendor can understand how two todaly exstream numbers can now be indentical with totally diferent information representing these scores. Not to mention that now I am still under the lendors threshold for my loan.I am systematicly being put in subprime. This is the scam that we were told were the mortgage companies when this is aparent it is the credit reporting agencies working with the banks. Who do I report this to?

I have a Credit Card Thru Capital One. Capital One has filed a lawsuit in District Court to claim the balance I owe them. My ending balance before I got into trouble was $350.00 dollars, they now have me owing over 1200.00 Is this legal? Aren’t credit cards unsecured? Can they garnish my bank account? How should I procede?

I have massive debt that I am currently paying off on my own. If I state on the pre-nup that all my debts incurred before the marriage remains my responsibility, will the creditors be able to go after my fiance/husband?? I don’t want him to have to pay for my debts especially if I am currently paying it off.

credit card debt, I reside in Collin County, Texas…

I reside in Collin County, Texas. I have one credit card with a balance of over $10,000.00. I have not made a payment since December, 2008 or January, 2009. I have a few other cards with a lower balance that I’m not paying on either; however, I am paying on 2 others, and those 2 are being paid on time.

Work schedule was reduced at work, and credit card companies would not work with me, so I stopped paying on a few, but I’m really concerned about the one that’s over $10,000.00.

Can I be sued for this? Do I get served with some sort of papers, and if so, what would they be and how do I proceed? Can they levy my paycheck?

Thanks for your time and for the help!
