Thank you for this website! I found it once a while back and I am totally hooked!
Anyway, I have a question. I was involved in an auto accident, the other person was at fault (and he had the bare minimum the state requires for insurance - $25k). I had to have back surgery and right now know that I am looking at a 3 month recovery period. My under-insured is only $50k with $10k in PIP.
To say it mildly, I am in a heep of trouble as the surgeon’s bill alone is $82k.
Here’s my question [wish I had a drum role]… Can I go after the person whom the vehicle is REGISTERED to? This driver was 17 years old, using his parents insurance but the car is under another name entirely (no one will tell who this is, it could be a relative, previous owner, employer, I have no idea). And, is there a way for the general average Joe to establish a person’s assets for suing them above

Yeah I’m hooked on this as well. Some crazy questions! The answer to your questions are yes you can go after their assets. Have you hired a personal injury attorney yet? If so, they should be able to assist you in recovering personal assets. If they tell you that they won’t go after personal assets than find another lawyer.
